Update
This past week, I’ve felt in the mood to resume work on the series of tales I started back in April/May. I’ve decided to reshoot the entire three minutes I’d already filmed, as I’ve found some new costumes and a new particle effects program I’ve been experimenting with. It’s hard to put a time frame on a release date, but I’m hoping November sometime for part one, to coincide with the first anniversary of the britannicadreams.com website.

Speaking of anniversaries, Machinima Premiere recently celebrated it’s first anniversary and we were delighted to learn that “A Mermaid’s Tale” took second place for Movie of the Year, first place winner, also one of my all-time favourite machinimas of the year, “Day’s After” and third, “Bouncers, Kebabs and Ruby Murries”, both definitely worth watching if you haven’t seen them already.
In other news, “A Mermaid’s Tale” was screened several times a day, between September 29 and October 1st at the Cite des sciences et de l’industrie in France, as part of a special event about video game and digital creation.
Finally, a quick Sims 2 movie recommendation (if you haven’t seen this then you’ve probably been under a rock this past two weeks), is Overman’s “Male Restroom Etiquette“, a great use of The Sims 2 engine and has clocked up well over a million views and 18 honours at You Tube. *sniffle* I can proudly boast that I knew Overman before he became a YouTube s’leb and thank him for the mention in the credits

Awesome to see that you’re working on your project Michelle! You must be excited to see how it’s going to look when it’s finished. Best of luck to you on the series and congrats for “A Mermaid’s Tale” doing so well on Machinima Premiere! I’m really happy for you guys
Keep it up!
PS: I have been sort of under rock over the past couple of weeks, but I did get around to watching Overman’s movie. I laughed my ass off :).
Catch you later.

hey you guys were in the Paris thing, too? Cool. I’ve been surprised to not hear about it elsewhere. I was psyched to be in it.

We were chuffed Mermaid was chosen! There was a little bit about the event on the museum website, but I couldn’t find a list of the other machinimas screened unfortunately. By the way, congrats on the Mackie nomination Nathan!

Thanks! Are you guys coming out for the fest? I think it’s gonna be a LOT of fun with all the people that are coming.
Glad you found any mention on the museum site. When I looked there was none at all.

Yeah that’s definitely something we needed more of from last year. Friedrich took some good ones, but he’s only one person. I’ll try to remember to take a camera.
