Sorry, it’s another “I’m still alive” posts…

It seems much has happened since I last updated the blog… I finally made it to Edmonton, Canada in August, after a seven month wait, to start a fantastic new job as a cinematic designer for BioWare! I’m still surrounded by boxes and haven’t put any pictures on the walls, but the move itself went really smoothly. I must be crazy, but I’m hoping I’ll get a white Christmas this year.
Also lots of good news concerning ‘The Snow Witch’. This past weekend it was awarded Best Story at The European Film Festival - in addition to one of the demo beta movies I filmed with Short Fuze/Moviestorm being nominated for Best Commercial Machinima(‘Did That Break Your Concentration?’).
Simon Taylor, the Snow Witch narrator sent me this link today, a nice piece about machinima and the festival by Dr Tracey Harwood LINK
‘The Snow Witch’ also made it to the cover DVD of Hugh and Johnnie’s super book for ‘Machinima for Dummies’
Hopefully now the move is over, I’ll be able to finish some projects….

It’s good to see you writing in your blog again, Michelle. A big congratulations for the “story” win at the European festival (odd part of the film to be honored though). Too bad Lafcadio Hearn couldn’t be there to accept. The article at the link (BBC) is pretty good. I’m glad that SW is getting a log of attention (and YOU, of course) because it’s well deserved. Takes your mind off all the boxes…And here’s wishing you and orange Halloween and a white Christmans!

Congratulations on the successful move! I’ve only done it once and there are still boxes lying around - and that was 5 years ago. They make great end tables, if nothing else!
